Balance Your Expectations.
Whether you're new to massage therapy or not, you may have questions about what to expect during your session. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
Do you use oil or lotion?
For general overall massage, a hypoallergenic, unscented massage lotion is used. For a more specific, therapeutic massage, a muscle melt may be used to warm the affected muscle area(s) that will be addressed.
When should I arrive for my massage?
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete any paperwork (if necessary), as well as a pre-massage assessment.
What do I wear during the massage?
Each client is unique. Some clients remove all their clothing, while others may leave on their lower undergarments. Disrobe to your comfort level, making sure to remove any jewelry or other articles that may interfere with the massage.
What am I supposed to do during the massage?
Focus on relaxing and letting go while you're on the table. Do communicate if you need to have the pressure of the massage adjusted, or if there is an area that is sensitive and might need more attention. Depending on the type of massage, the intent will be to help you leave feeling more relaxed and with less pain.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, checks (only from established clients), and all major credit/debit cards (MasterCard, VISA, AmEx, Discover) are accepted.
What happens if I miss my appointment/reschedule/cancel?
Sometimes circumstances warrant that you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please call/text (904) 416-0083, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or log onto Massagebook.com to make the necessary modifications.
Changes can be made up to 24 hours before your appointment. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, or we have not received notification by the 24-hour cutoff time, 50% of that visit's price will be added to your next scheduled massage appointment. That being said, we realize that there are events that may be out of your control (sudden illness, family emergencies, etc.), and in certain situations, exceptions may be made.
